Guwahati to Bomdila
Pickup from Guwahati and the drive via Tezpur and Bhalukpong into the hills. Around 9 to 10 hours, so we start early.
Overnight: Bomdila -
Bomdila to Tawang
Dirang, Sela Pass and Jaswantgarh on the way up to Tawang, about 7 hours with stops.
Overnight: Tawang -
Tawang sightseeing
Tawang Monastery, Urgelling and the war memorial. A relaxed day to help you adjust to the altitude.
Overnight: Tawang -
Bumla Pass and Madhuri Lake
The border road and the high lake at Sangetsar. Access depends on weather, road condition and permits.
Overnight: Tawang -
Tawang to Dirang
The return over Sela Pass to Dirang, with the orchards and hot springs for the evening.
Overnight: Dirang -
Dirang to Tezpur
Down through Bomdila and Bhalukpong to Tezpur. A good place to break the long return.
Overnight: Tezpur -
Tezpur to Guwahati
Drop at Guwahati airport or railway station after about 4 to 5 hours.
